Phyllis' fiancee, Barry Lanfield, (Porter), investigates the sightings of a white-veiled figure in the park at night.
In spite of the fine camerawork and atmospheric lighting effects, the plot is poorly developed with an unbelievable solution, and more importantly, no werewolves.
A scene set in the 19th. century explaining how the Allenbys were originally cursed was cut from the final print.

The first appearence of Sherlock Holmes on film in a fifty second "mystery" utilising trick photography and was distributed to the early "peep-show" machines.

Similar murders continue until rival newspaper man Ted Rand, (Talbot), saves Patricia from the leader of the Martini gang who attempts to kill the meddling Patricia in the hotel's furnace.
Max Hoffman reunited Ginger Rogers and Lyle Talbot from his earlier production The Thirteenth Guest (1932), using the same supporting cast, director and production crew.
Ginger Rogers later found fame when teamed with Fred Astaire in a succession of musical comedies.

Due to the destruction of New York City by Kong, Carl Denham, (Armstrong), is forced to flee the United States and his creditors by setting sail on board the ship SS.Venture with his friend Captain Englehorn, (Reicher). At the Malayan port of Dakang they learn of a fabulous treasure on Skull Island from Nils Helstrom, (Marston), the man who originally sold the map of the island to Englehorn. However, the crew mutiny and set Denham, Englehorn and a girl named Hilda Peterson, (Mack), in a lifeboat who have no choice, but to make their way to the mysterious island where they encounter a twelve foot tall white-haired ape who they save from quicksand . In return the creature protects them from a giant prehistoric bear and a brontosaurus. Denham and his companions recover a precious jewel from a giant statue, but an earthquake ensues and the island begins to sink. The young ape holds his new friends above the rising water at the cost of his own life until Englehorn in the lifeboat can reach them.
A quickly made sequel to King Kong that does not achieve the grandeur or power of the original epic.
The film was originally announced as JAMBOREE to keep curious Kong fans away from the set and promoted as a comedy, but although highly entertaining it remains only a rousing jungle adventure.
Willis O'Brien was reported to have been unhappy with the comic elements of the story and refused to discuss the film in later years.
